About Elizabeth St. Hilaire

Torn bits of hand-painted papers make up the unique and vibrant collages created by Artist Elizabeth St. Hilaire. Richard Colvin, curator for the Maitland Art Center says, "Elizabeth St. Hilaire's artworks have a fresh quality that belies the way they are constructed." St. Hilaire's "Paper Paintings" were featured in a solo exhibition at Maitland Art Center (September, 2010) called Exquisite Harmony.
A First Place Winner in the category of collage for The Artist's Magazine (2010), St. Hilaire also received a Professional Development Grant from United Arts of Central Florida (her second) in 2010. The multi-talented Artist currently plays the violin with the Maitland Symphony Orchestra and is a professional graphic designer in addition to being a visual artist.
On Mother's day of 2009 St. Hilaire completed her first sprint distance triathlon, The Danskin Women's, at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL with her sister. The following September she competed in the TREK Women's triathlon, and in 2010 she completed the Danskin a second time. Pushing herself further and faster, she ran her first half marathon at Walt Disney World in October 2010. The goal for 2011 - a full Olympic distance traithlon!
Elizabeth St. Hilaire, born and raised in New England, has lived in Central Florida for the past 17 years.
She holds a B.F.A. in advertising design from Syracuse University, in Syracuse, New York. St. Hilaire is a member of the National Collage Society and the Atlanta Collage Society and is represented nationally by the Grand Bohemian Gallery.
