Hollywood Historical Photos

Bison Archives was formed in 1971 as a historical photographic collection resulting from research and preparation for a book on the history of American motion picture studios. The archive specializes in the history of the motion picture and television industry in the United States. From photographs of film studios to candid photos of movie stars and celebrities, Bison Archives contains some of the most rare and unique images ever published in books, newspapers, major magazines and motion pictures around the world.

In 2001 Bison Archives began a collaboration with DECOR ART GALLERIES to form Hollywood Historic Photos which now offers thousands of images from the Bison collection. Many of these photographs are never-before-seen by the public (except in books). HHP has re-envisioned these photos as art, not merely history, realizing these vivid black and white photos complement any decor.
